Sugababe Amelle Berrabah Checks Into Private Clinic

It looks like all the recent breakup drama has taken it's toll on Sugababes member Amelle Berrabah (left) because she's been forced to take a break from the group after checking into a private clinic suffering from nervous exhaustion.

Following medical advice the singer was advised to take a hiatus from the girl group for at least three weeks and is not expected to return until November.

Fellow members Heidi Range (center) and Jade Ewen (right) who replaced original member Keisha Buchanan who left last month, issued a joint statement on the group's official website.

It said: "Unfortunately, Amelle has been forced to take an unexpected short break away from the pressures of work, following some professional medical advice earlier this week.

"For the next three weeks, Amelle will be staying at a private health clinic in Europe where she will be able to rest and recuperate under expert supervision.

"We're expecting her to return to work in full health by the beginning of November."

The group have had to cancel a performance in Leeds on Sunday, their first live show with the new line-up.

Range and Ewen added: "Although this news will come as a huge disappointment to Sugababes fans, we really do have to treat Amelle's welfare as a priority at times like this.

"She has the love and support of everyone around her including family, friends, bandmates and the label and we are sure that fans will join us in wishing Amelle a speedy recovery."

I'm really looking forward to their upcoming North American debut so I wish the girls all the best and a quick recovery for Amelle.
