Madonna Disappears from YouTube

Madonna's record label is pulling her videos from YouTube.com.

Several artists, including Madonna, Led Zeppelin and James Blunt, are getting their videos removed from the YouTube Website, following a dispute between their record company and the site, reports FemaleFirst.

Management at Warner Music has decided to remove the artists' promotional videos, after negotiations failed for a new contract with site's owners regarding downloading rights.

"We simply cannot accept terms that fail to appropriately and fairly compensate recording artists, songwriters, labels and publishers for the value they provide," folks at Warner Music stated.

Nicole Scherzinger added that the group wants to collaborate with Spears because they see her as a friend whom they love and fully support.

Katy Perry Apologizes to Lily Allen

Katy Perry regrets a comment that she made about Lily Allen, adding that it was only meant to be a joke.

When Perry was asked to describe herself, she wrote that she was a fatter version of Amy Winehouse, but a skinnier version of Lily Allen.

Lily Allen took offense and in turn took jabs at Katy during a recent interview with UK radio station Capital FM. Well now Katy Perry is apologizing. She told Us Magazine, "Yeah, I made a joke about [that] earlier this year. I was just kind of joking and trying to be funny. I didn't mean anything by it. Comedians are not necessarily to be taken super seriously."

It's uncertain if Allen will accept the apology from her rival.

Adele Responds To Grammy Nomination Criticism

Adele has clarified her position on her Grammy award nominations, after reports suggested she did "not want to win" one of the prizes.

The London-born singer says that comments she made to BBC 6Music have been misinterpreted, and has reaffirmed her respect for the ceremony.

Earlier this month Adele said: "I imagine it's like winning an Oscar and I don't think on this record I should get one.

"I think it should be with my second or third record that I should get the Oscar, like from your third or fourth film when you're amazing".

Putting the matter to rest on her official blog, Adele said: "That's absurd, of course I want to win one!

"I was trying to say that I think a Grammy is music's Oscars. You win an Oscar when you give a performance of your life, and I find it hard to think of my album like that".

"I can't be like 'Yeah I so deserve it', that would make me sound like a prick! I'm over the moon!"

Adele has been nominated for four awards: Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for 'Chasing Pavements', as well as Best New Artist.

Beyonce - Single Ladies on The Tyra Banks Show

I found this clip of Beyonce performing her hit song "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)" live on the Tyra Banks show a while back.

Like everyone else I'm obsessed with the dance choreography and I particularly like this performance because she's got male dancers this time around (not the kind she had on SNL).

This clip also proves that Tyra and Beyonce are not one and the same but they sure look like they could be sisters.  Enjoy!

Sugababe Says Girls Aloud Have Bigger Public Persona

Keisha Buchanan, one third of pop trio Sugababes, says rival group Girls Aloud are obsessed with celebrity.

Keisha insists that she and bandmates Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah are more concerned with music than media attention, unlike their chart rivals.

In an interview with BBC Radio 1 she said: "With Girls Aloud, they've come from a reality TV show and it's a lot more about being a celebrity. The public persona of theirs is definitely a lot bigger than Sugababes."

The Londoner claims that the music business no longer makes songs the main priority.

"Now it's all about being a celebrity and having the music at the same time. We're not that kind of band", she added.

"Sugababes have been going for 12 years now and that's what we'll continue doing - writing with each other and making music, because that's what's important."

Sugababes' latest album, 'Catfights And Spotlights', is out now.

Lily Allen Declares War on Katy Perry

With her upcoming new album on the way it wasn't going be long before Lily Allen's name started showing up in the gossip columns again.

The latest is that she hates Katy Perry and says that she has no talent.

During an interview with the radio station Capital FM, Lily took the opportunity to put down her competition.

"I happen to know for a fact that she was an American version of me. She was signed by my label in America as, 'We need to find something controversial and kooky like Lily Allen."

"And then they found her… I think the lyrics and stuff are a bit crass… When I met her I was bit frosty with her because someone asked her to describe herself. She's like, 'Aha, I'm like a fatter version of Amy Winehouse and a skinner version of Lily Allen!' It's like, you're not English and you don't write your own songs, shut up!"

Those are definitely fighting words. Wonder what Katy's response will be...

Robbie Williams Rumoured For X Factor Spot

Robbie Williams could make a sensational comeback as a judge on The X Factor, a report from the UK's Daily Star suggests.

Simon Cowell is apparently lining the singer up to replace Dannii Minogue after the Australian star fell out with fellow judge Louis Walsh over a dispute concerning song choices.

A source said: “It looks like Simon has decided on his dream line-up and is determined that’s what he will get.

“He’s used to getting his own way so he’ll be going all out to get Cheryl. Getting Robbie would also be an amazing coup – he’s a megastar.”

But Dannii denied she is to be axed and said: “The producers and Simon tell me I am returning, so that’s all I believe. So unless I hear differently then I’ll be back.”

A spokesperson for the show insisted: “No decisions have been made about contracts and no decisions will be made until next year.

Lily Allen In Trouble Over Britney Cover

I'm sure you've all heard Lily Allen's cover of Britney's "Womanizer" by now but if you haven't you can listen to it above. Lily has now revealed on her official blog that she got in trouble with her record label after Mark Ronson leaked the track.

The Londoner says she didn't intend for her reinterpretation to gather so much exposure, but it was the only song she had to hand when Mark Ronson called her for a favour.

Lily wrote on her official blog: "Some of you may be wondering why I covered "Womanizer". Simple really , I love Britney and I love the song.

"It wasn't my intention for it to have whizzed round the world like it has. Mark Ronson asked me for something no one had heard to play on his radio show and 'Womanizer' was the only song I had as an attachment on my BlackBerry.

"I had asked him to talk all over it so it wouldn't get ripped, but he didn't. Thanks Mark, for getting me in serious trouble with my record company."

After spending much of the latter half of 2008 trying to secure a release date for her second album, It's Not Me, It's You, Lily says that she has high hopes for 2009.

She said: "I am so excited, everything seems to be falling into place and I couldn't be happier. Touch wood."

Lily Allen's new single, 'The Fear' is due for release on 26 January 2009.

Dannii Minogue: Britney Upset Us

Dannii Minogue has slammed Britney Spears for upsetting the X Factor contestants by refusing to meet them after her recent performance on the hit reality talent show.

The Aussie judge blasted Britney for not even saying hello to the contestants, when other acts have held a master class with them.

She told Metro: "They were genuinely excited to be in her presence and she only had to say 'Hi' to five acts.

"At that point, I thought, 'What a shame because you've just crushed those contestants'. She didn't have to be like that."

Dannii also revealed that the singer's had the judges lining up like youngsters waiting for class.

She said: "It was hysterical. We were all like little kids at the principal's office. There were so many security guards and PR people and they had to block the whole corridor before she could come out the door."
