Madonna Disappears from YouTube

Madonna's record label is pulling her videos from YouTube.com.

Several artists, including Madonna, Led Zeppelin and James Blunt, are getting their videos removed from the YouTube Website, following a dispute between their record company and the site, reports FemaleFirst.

Management at Warner Music has decided to remove the artists' promotional videos, after negotiations failed for a new contract with site's owners regarding downloading rights.

"We simply cannot accept terms that fail to appropriately and fairly compensate recording artists, songwriters, labels and publishers for the value they provide," folks at Warner Music stated.

NEW Video: Madonna - Give It 2 Me

Here's the official Madonna sanctioned video for "Give It To Me" the second single from 'Hard Candy'.

I was waiting to post it until I found an HQ version that didnt' get deleted every five minutes.

Did you know YouTube now offers the option to watch some videos in HQ? Unfortunately to do so you have to go on their site as it's currently not an option on embeded videos. It's a pretty neat idea though.

CLICK HERE to get the option to watch it in HQ by clicking on "watch in high quality".

As for the video...loved the song from day one but I'm a bit disapointed by the video. It's cool and all but I was expecting a bit more for a follow up to "4 Minutes", hope the next one's better.

Thoughts?

Madonna in Concert "review"

Did ya'll watch Madonna's live concert last night on MSN.com!?

I did and the show was great!! She opened the show with "Candy Shop" which was followed by a beautiful rendition of "Miles Away" with her on the electric guitar.

We were then treated to an unexpected live duet with Justin Timberlake for her current single "4 Minutes".

That was followed by a short intermission where she spoke to the audience and expressed how grateful she was of having worked with Justin and Timbaland on her new record. She then asked the audience "You guys think you came to a Rolling Stones concert? F*ck that!"

Loved it!

She also thanked the loyal fans who waited outside all night to get into the concert by dedicating "Hung Up" to them.

She continued with a energetic performance of "Give It To Me" which is set to be her upcoming second single. Girl still has the moves!!

She finally closed the night with "Music" which really got the crowd going and left them wanting more. What a tease!

Obviously this concert was not a last minute thing as it was well rehearsed with some great choreography. I gotta say I'm very impressed with this new album and can't wait to see more performances and music videos for it.

CLICK HERE to watch the concert in its entirety. Enjoy!

Did you watch the concert? What did you think of it?

Madonna's Hard Candy Out Now

Madonna's much anticipated new album "Hard Candy" is out today and it's bound to be another hit for the undisputed queen of Pop.

I gotta admit that I was very concerned when I first read she'd be doing a Hip-Hop album but thankfully my fears have been appeased. The album is full of sweet and sticky tracks, some reminiscent of 70's disco and 80's pop but with a modern urban twist thanks to some great collaborations with Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, Pharrell, and Kanye West.

I have lots of favourites on this one including "She's Not Me", "Beat Goes On" and the upcoming second single "Give It 2 Me". The album has received very positive reviews and it's surely to become a classic.

Having followed Madonna's career over the years has taught me to never expect the same thing twice and "Hard Candy" proves she's far from finished evolving and will continue to surprise and amaze us for many years to come.

Get "Hard Candy" from iTunes or from Amazon.com. I recommend the Special Edition for some extra tracks.

Track Listing:

  1. "Candy Shop" (Madonna, Pharrell Williams) – 4:15
  2. "4 Minutes" (featuring Justin Timberlake) (Madonna, Timothy Mosley, Nate Hills, Justin Timberlake) – 4:04
  3. "Give It 2 Me" (Madonna, Williams) – 4:47
  4. "Heartbeat" (Madonna, Williams) – 4:03
  5. "Miles Away" (Madonna, Mosley, Hills, Timberlake) – 4:48
  6. "She's Not Me" (Madonna, Williams) – 6:04
  7. "Incredible" (Madonna, Williams) – 6:19
  8. "Beat Goes On" (featuring Kanye West) (Madonna, Williams, Kanye West) – 4:26
  9. "Dance 2night" (Madonna, Mosley, Hannon Lane, Timberlake) – 5:03
  10. "Spanish Lesson" (Madonna, Williams) – 3:37
  11. "Devil Wouldn't Recognize You" (Madonna, Joe Henry, Mosley, Hills, Timberlake) – 5:09
  12. "Voices" (Madonna, Mosley, Hills, Lane, Timberlake) – 3:39
What are your thoughts on the new album? Got any favourite tracks?

Madonna Inducted into Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame

Watch Madonna's speech above as she was inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame this past Monday night!

Justin Timberlake was on hand to introduce the Queen of Pop. Justin, who has collaborated with Madonna on her upcoming album Hard Candy, used the occasion to make a few thinly veiled comments about ex-girlfriend Britney Spears, who Madonna famously kissed at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards.

He said: "The world is full of Madonna wannabes. I might have even dated a couple. But there is truly only one Madonna. She has still found time to kiss someone I may or may not have publicly kissed myself while I was in the audience. Of course, you know I’m talking about Sean Penn!"

Justin also revealed that Madonna gave him vitamin injections when they worked together. He said: "We had a recording session in London and I wasn't feeling well. She said, 'Would you like a B12 shot?' She reached into her handbag, pulled out a bag of B12 syringes and said, 'Drop 'em!'"

"I don't know what you say to that, so I dropped my pants. She gave me the shot in my ass. It was one of the greatest days of my life. That is what Madonna will always be to us. The shot in the ass when we really need it!"

Congratulations Madge!

Madonna's New Album Has a Title!

Seems like the rumours were true. Madonna's hotly anticipated new album will be titled Hard Candy, and it's official.

The record will drop April 29th and the lead single, 4 Minutes To Save The World featuring Justin Timberlake, will be out at the end of March.

Hard Candy features a track called Candy Store (produced by Pharell Williams).

Madonna chose to stick with the sweet theme because "she loves candy," her longtime rep Liz Rosenberg tells Entertainment Weekly. "It's about the juxtaposition of tough and sweetness, or as Madonna so eloquently expressed 'I'm gonna kick your ass, but it's going to make you feel good.'"

In addition to Timberlake and Pharell, the album features production by Timbaland and Nate "Danja" Hills.

Sounds like she's really going Hip-Hop on this one. I don't know, makes me a bit nervous but as we all know Her Madgesty loves to try new styles and she can pull off anything.

Are you looking forward to the new album?
