Mylène Farmer - Dégénération

I haven't followed Mylène Farmer's career as much as I should've but thanks to my friend Dan I've discovered one of the most amazing songs/videos ever.

Check out the video above for Mylene's ultra sensual "Dégénération" the first single from her seventh studio album 'Point de Suture' (2008).

I'm loving this song and I purchased the "Dégénération" Remix - EP on iTunes HERE.

Thank you Dan!

Hey everyone!

Again sorry for the lack of posts lately. Like I said before I've been busy with other stuff and also didn't really have anything to write about. That's over now 'cause I have tons of cool music to write about and share with you, so much that I don't even know where to start...

Well lets start with the new look of Pop Spotlight. I've redone the layout and added some cool widgets from a few of my favourite music sites and resources including iTunes and Last.fm. I'll write more about them later.

I've also added a poll and a guestbook, more stuff to come soon. So welcome back to Pop Spotlight, poke around the new layout and share it with your friends.

Thanks for dropping by and come back often.

BoA - I Did It For Love

A few weeks ago my friend Jay showed me a preview for BoA's "I Did It For Love" video and I was hooked!

I bought her self titled debut album as soon as I got home that night without even previewing the other tracks. I knew I'd love it and I was right! The whole album is full of delicious pop/dance songs that you'll keep playing over and over again.

"I Did It For Love" is my personal favourite and I'm soo glad she made a video for it. The song is addictive and the video is amazing!! Been waiting for the full video to come out and it's finally out! Watch it above and enjoy!

Get the track HERE, the video HERE and her full album HERE.

Lily Allen - Not Fair

Here's the latest video by the always controversial Lily Allen. This one's for "Not Fair" the second single from her sophomore album 'It's Not Me, It's You'.

The song and video are quite different from anything she's done before. Some might not appreciate the style and look if they're not familiar with the old country variety shows but I totally see what she's going for. It's just for fun and obviously she doesn't take herself too seriously.

I'll be seeing her live in Toronto on April 22nd, can't wait!!

Get the track HERE, the video HERE and her full album HERE.

I first discovered Frankmusik on MySpace over a year ago and I've been scouring the net for his singles ever since.

He's got an EP out which was really hard to find but thankfully he's got a full album coming out later in the year.

Until then here's a little piece his musical genius for your enjoyement; the track is called "Better Off As Two".

Listen to more of his music on his official MySpace page HERE and check out his official YouTube Channel HERE.

The 51st Grammy Awards were on last night and it was quite the show.

It was definitely one of my favourite Grammys ever. The performances were great and there were also some nice surprises when it came to the winners.

Some of favourite artists won awards including Coldplay for Song of The Year and Best Pop Performance By A Duo or Group for "Viva La Vida", Adele won for Best New Artist and Best Female Vocal Performance for "Chasing Pavements" and Duffy for Best Pop Vocal Album for 'Rockferry'.
